Attention: People who want to travel but can't get started… Travel offers one big benefit.

What benefit? This benefit - the knowledge that you don't have to stay in the same spot you are in right now.

You can simply go where you actually want to go and be where you want to be.

You don't have to stay and decay, you can go and grow as you wish.

And because of the internet, it's easy, easy, easy. I'll show you how easy…

I used to travel all the time. I would change spots every 3-4 weeks quite often.

Even when I had a one year lease, I would still travel once every month or two.

I had a real bad case of wanderlust. I'd get bored in the same spot.

So what did I do? I spent a long time traveling, always looking for a new rush or trying to find “my place” in the world.

I've found my place now, I'm very happy with it and I'm here to stay.

Now that I've found the perfect spot for me, I don't even want to leave!

The bored travel bum with wanderlust now doesn't even want to leave the city.

What made that possible? Travel made it possible. It took years of travel to find the spot where I truly want to be.

I never would have found my favorite place to live had I not scoured the earth first looking for it. For me, travel was essential.

I feel for many of the B&D soldiers, travel offers the same benefits and these are my tips to help you find your #1 spot in the world.

Hey, guys. V. Pride here. Yesterday I released a video talking about three ways to stop feeling depressed.

And a guy that worked for me emailed me and said, “Loved the video, but I want to know what is your mission because I don't know what your mission is.” And I said…

“My mission is to show other people how to be free.”

That's my mission in life. To show other people how to ‑‑ if they want ‑‑ how to be a professional bum like me.

How to live that “Airbnb” life like me. How to travel and go where you want to go and do what you want to do when you want to do it like me.

(FYI - Airbnb has since stolen money from me and I will never stay with them again and I do not recommend anyone use Airbnb.)

Now you don't have to be a traveling bum like me. It's just what I choose to be.

Your freedom ‑‑ you choose to do what you want to do.

If you have the freedom you can choose to do it.

Me, I don't like staying in the same place for too long. I really don't.

I like three weeks in place. I find four weeks to be too long. But you often get a discount when you rent for four weeks instead of just three weeks.

So I often just power through and rent for four weeks at a time. But you know, not really relevant to what I'm talking about.

What I'm talking about is living life on your own terms. Being free in the way that you should be free.

It's the current year. It's not 1965 anymore.

Nobody is limited by jobs. You're not limited by geography, location.

You should not be limited by anything.

Because of the power of the internet, you can make money from a laptop from anywhere in the world.

You can make money from Antarctica.

You don't have to rely on a job.

You don't have to stay in the same city you were born in.

You don't have to stay in any city if you don't want to. I just pick up and go.

I was in Wichita, Kansas visiting an old friend of mine from way, way back in the day from when we were about 10 years old.

He's been in the same city forever and I haven't. I was talking to him and he asked me what I was going to do next.

I said, “I don't know. Whenever I feel like I'll just hop on a plane and go back to Bangkok.”

And he goes, “Oh, oh, you'll just hop on a plane, huh?”

And I thought, Yeah. That's exactly what I'm going to do.

It's hard to believe for a lot of people who don't live the pro‑bum life like I do… But you don't have to be stuck.

You don't have to stay in the same place, man. You don't have to.

If you do it it's because you choose to, or because you don't know that there's another option. And that's a valid excuse. I didn't know for a long time.

I didn't know. I didn't grow up knowing you could go travel to places. My family didn't take vacations.

We didn't leave the country. Our vacation was to go and see grandma in Colorado or go to see grandma and grandpa in New Mexico.

We didn't have real vacations. We certainly were never going to leave the United States. That was crazy.

I didn't know that was possible. I didn't even know you could move to a place like Los Angeles.

If you grew up in a place like Kansas where I grew up, it's not really ‑‑ nobody leaves. Nobody leaves to go to Los Angeles or even Thailand. They leave for the military.

And then they come back and they stay there and they drink alcohol and they eat a lot of food and they get fat.

But that doesn't have to be your life. It's your life, your choice.

The internet can make it all possible.

    Yes this is exactly why we have the best time right now because we have so many options out there for us.

    The information we seek online can easily be found with click of few buttons where else back in the day, I’m sure they had to go through more than a few clicks of button at ease.

    Great piece once again,

    Just wanted to leave a comment for once and let you know you have been one of the factors In helping me obtain near financial freedom and as such wanted to thank you.

    ive been following you for over 3.5 years now and purchased both your ebooks, not because I felt I nesecarrly required them but because I enjoy your articles so much I wanted to contribute to your lifestyle (I did however find 30 days of discipline awesome)

    I started at the age of 15 with the intention of living a lifestyle of freedom and have worked furiously ever since in order to obtain it (I’ve never worked a normal Job).

    I currently earn passive income from my rental property and online retail business with the aim of living the “pro bum lifestyle” as you elegantly put it by 26 (I’ve just turned 24).

    - So too anybody else reading this it’s taken me 9 years so far of which 4 I had 0 success just failure after failure. -

    The problem I have is every time I achieve another step or reach another goal I only feel accomplished for about 24 hours. Then I’m Hungary for more, I just can’t seem to decide when I deserve to “live the lifestyle”.

    So here is my question.

    Where do you draw the line?

    You spent years in Bangkok and once you “made it” returned to the USA to “live the life”. At what point did you decide you’d made it.

    Was it a financial decision, did you have an ultimate set goal? Recurring revenue goal or whatever.

    Anyway enjoy what you’ve earnt and keep kicking ass.

      I left Asia because it was too hot. Simple as that. Go where it’s good.

  3. The way to success and freedom is easier than ever, largely thanks to the digital age. It’s not about working harder. It’s about working smarter.

  4. I’m living in Germany near the east boarder. The way to another country like Czech Republic and Poland is only 30 kilometer away. So it’s easy here to leave and travel to a new country. The culture is different, the language is different, the girls and the food are different. I can everyone recommend in USA to visit another country to learn and experience new things. It’s refreshing every time because people in another county think differently too. Alone from that few points you can get new ideas and motivation about life. Thats cool and worth every trip I did.

    • This is very true. The united States is isolated from the rest of the world.

      I guess it’s been good for World Wars 1 and II since we couldn’t get attacked as easily, but it takes so much more to travel to many of the best places.

      I’ve traveled a ton to 6 of the 7 continents (haven’t been to Antarctica yet), been on 20+ hour flights, but I often envy Europeans for being more “centrally located” in the world.

    Victor thank you so much for setting the example. Seeing you kick ass illustrates to alot of us that YES, IT IS POSSIBLE to live free and on your own terms but only IF you are willing to show up every day and put in the work.

    Right now I’m on the verge of leavimg my corporate job and although I’m quite nervous about it I honestly couldn’t be more excited. This is huge for me because my j.o.b. has slowly been sucking my soul out bit by bit, killing me effectively. Preparation has come to a close and I’m finally about to burn this bridge and never look back.

    Without your influence I may have never made it to this point so Thank You from the bottom of my heart! I will not fail!

    P.S. The monkey movement drills are awesome. Please give us more cool routines to work on.

  6. People from first world countries are truly blessed. I’m surprised everyone isn’t travelling all the time. I have made a lot of money ( B&D has played a big role). Life has been very kind. For me getting a visa is the biggest restriction I have. Holding a Pakistani passport doesn’t exactly help your case. But it is what it is. It is an obstacle just like any other. I will overcome it. For all of you, who have an American or British passport. Utilise the shit out of it. You have no idea what an advantage you have by simply being born in the right country. See the world. Dive into everything. Experience life. You are truly free.

  15. Spot fucking on Vic. Its all about freedom. I just drove across the country and ate lobster all down the West Coast. Have been over seas many times. Passive income and minimalist lifestyle. I will be back in Asia this year, maybe Ill meet up with you in Viet.

    I am all about traveling,you say I can travel anywhere but I don’t have the knowledge to get the budget for doing so.
    I’m a 19 years old college student in Montreal,I live with my grandmother (my dad sends an allowance),I want to get the hell out of here,I am so bored,I don’t even have enough money to join greek life,my life is decaying.
    I know how important having a purpose is,but at the moment mine is to meet women and improve myself.
    I can’t do that in this very small town.
    I want to go to New York or Boston,so many people,so much to learn,so much action,but how do I do it??
    I am ready to do anything to make that happen,just tell me how to do it..
    There’s the budget,finding a nice place to stay at that is not too expensive,there’s finding a small job that supports me,there’s getting that plane ticket,how do I sort this out?
    Also my dream is to get into a college in the USA but God damn it the prices are just inhumane for international students.
    Help me escape,send me links to pages that can help know what I need to know,give me your advice,please help me!
    It’s really a how do I do it,I don’t want to stay in the same place,I chose to but what are the steps?
    I’m ready to drop out ,have a temporary job,just lay to me the cold truth and I’ll see how far I can take it.
