Why You Should Start a Blog or Website This Year

December 31, 2011 By Victor Pride 9 Comments

A monetized blog(s) or website(s) is one avenue on the path to financial freedom.

It will take some work to get there and that's why you need to start now.

Should you start a blog or a website?

If you are brand new to running a website then you should start a blog.

If you have no blog ideas then you can blog about your progress on 30 Days of Discipline.

That will give you a solid month of posts so you can learn the ins and outs of blogging.

To learn how to start a blog or website read The No Bullshit Guide to Making Money Online.

Why should you blog about 30 Days of Discipline?

Because blogging and writing about it will give you incentive to not muck up your progress.

Maybe you will like blogging and maybe you won't but it's a start. You have to start somewhere.

If you want to make art then you can make art and not pay attention to business.

If you want to make money then you need to keep your eye on the prize and blog with business in mind.

You do not have to start a blog, but remember - there is money on the internet. Do you want a piece of it? And do you want the freedom that comes with it?

If you don't want to start a blog or website that's cool. There is more than one way to skin a cat. But tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life. What are you going to do? What are you going to start? And how will you do it?

Vic you put the final nail in the coffin for me. A few other bloggers like Delusion Damage put some how-to’s earlier this year and I rolled the idea around. I officially launched my first site on Jan 1 2012 after reading your article. No posts yet but I’m pumped as all hell. I know you have big things planned for this year and you got the stuff to make it happen, keep rocking bro.

Hi Victor. Your blog motivated me to create my own blog. It’s been about 3 days and this (http://morayq786.tumblr.com/)is what I have so far. Can you look over it and give me some advice on what I can do to improve it? It would be much appreciated.

You say to blog about your progress on 30 days of discipline. Yet after doing some research on the net, I couldn’t find one person who actually did blog about their progress on 30 days of discipline. Just some of your affiliates with a typical sounding review. Not one actually chronicalled their progress day by day. One guy’s attempt at doing so led to you requesting that he not list the 12 steps, so he edited them out which made the writing hollow, here’s the link: http://fitness2xtreme.com/tough-mind/day-1-of-30-days-of-discipline.

    Any suggestions?

BTW seems like he quit after day 2.

    Great post!

I should have commented on it when I first read it.

I printed this article out and have it in my office just to keep me motivated.

“It will take some work to get there and that’s why you need to start now.”

Victor wasn’t lying when he said this, my blog has definitely been A LOT of work.

I have made a couple of affiliate link sales and am receiving positive comments and reviews for my articles.

I worked hard and now the rewards are coming!

Success with a blog is VERY possible.

In the words of Victor, DO THE WORK!
