A serious question: “Can you briefly go over work ethic in the right mindset? I know you talk about how not to give up and it takes as long as it takes, but do you ever feel like you're not doing it? Or do you procrastinate? Any other advice about building a solid work ethic?”
The only advice you need to develop a solid work ethic is to know that you don't have to work. I don't work. I don't have a work ethic. I play a game. And I enjoy playing the game, so I do it every day. I don't need outside factors to push me to play the game because I enjoy playing the game.
I don't work. I know I say “do the work” all the time. But I don't work, I just play. I do what I like to do, I play, and I play every day. I don't have a work ethic because I don't work for anybody else. I would never be able to work for anybody else. I would never be able to do something I didn't want to do or didn't have fun at.
So that's the trick - find the game that you like to play and play it every day. Find what you would do even if you weren't making money and turn that into the game that pays you money. That's the trick.
You will never have to work a day in your life if you just play the game. That's the trick. You will never have to work a day in your life if you just play the game. Because it is not work, it's fun. That's the trick. Don't ever work.
I never work. I don't ever work. I simply live my life and I play the daily game that I play. There is no distinction between work and life and social life and relationship life and blah, blah, blah, blah. It is all intertwined.
How could I turn off one but not the other? It is all intertwined. It is all the same. It is all the game that I play. So intertwine it all so you don't quit. And if you play the game you like to play you won't want to quit.
The only people who quit the game are the people who are losing the game. The people who are winning the game will play forever. It's only when you start to lose the game that you want to quit.
So be a winner of the game. Pick the game that you like to play. You'll never have to develop a work ethic. A work ethic is something I never want to have. I just want to be. And that's the trick. Just be. Don't work. Just be. Let it all be. Let it all intertwine.
When Will You Find Success?
A lot of people ask me the same question. They say, I've been at this for 30 days already, two months already, three months already, 6 months already and I have not seen success. When am I going to find success? When am I going to see success?
And I respond, why the fuck are you waiting for success instead of working? Success is only going to come to you when you're busy doing other things. It's never going to come to you while you are waiting for it. Because while you are waiting you are not doing anything.
Waiting means not doing anything. You should be working. Have you ever waited for a phone call, and the phone call never came until you left the phone and went away and did something else? And then while you were busy with something else the phone started to ring.
Have you ever sat at your computer waiting for an e‑mail to come in only to get bored of waiting and go do other things. And when you finally get back to the computer, the e‑mail has come in.
Those things are like success. They will not come to you while you are waiting. They will come to you whenever they feel like coming to you. They will come at their leisure not yours.
So do not wait for success because it will find you when it feels like finding you. What you do instead is continue doing the work that is going to increase the chances of success finding you. Success doesn't give a fuck about you if you are not working for it.
Success wants to come find you while you're busy. It is not going to come to you while you are on the couch waiting for it. So when is success going to find you? It's going to find you when you're busy doing other work.
It's going to find you when you least expect it. That phone call is going to ring when you're busy doing other things.
Why You Should do Hard Work (it becomes easy)
A lot of people don't want to do hard work. I can't say that I blame them, because I'm not dying to do hard work either. But the thing about hard work is that it's only hard for a little while. And then it starts to be easy.
Going to the gym at first and lifting weights is hard at first. It's hard for a good number of times. Then it just becomes as easy. Going to the gym is as easy as going to the supermarket.
Going to the gym is hard when you're weak, but when you're strong it's easy. Riding up a mountain ‑‑ riding up a hill is hard when your cardio is weak. When your cardio is good it's easy.
So I understand you don't want to do hard work. I don't want to do hard work either. But it's only hard for a little while. The more you do it the easier it gets, and eventually it's going to be just like going to the supermarket.
How do You Fail and Keep Moving Forward?
“Have you ever failed? And if so, what did you do to keep moving forward?”
No. I have never failed and kept moving forward, because you only fail if you give up. When you stop moving forward is when you fail. That's failure.
If it takes you 500 tries and you succeed on the 501st try that's not failure that's learning. So no, I have never failed and kept moving forward. I have failed and quit many times. Everything I tried that didn't work out and I left and I quit, that's failure.
It you stick at it diligently, consistently, you will succeed at some point. So it's not failure if you don't get it right now or tomorrow or even next year.
It's failure when you walk away. That's when you admit failure. That's when you admit defeat and move onto something else. It's okay to try and try and try and try. You will have to try many times before you succeed.
I didn't succeed on my first try or my second or my third or my fifth. It took me a long time. The reason I'm where I'm at now is because I did not give up. I did not care. I did not walk away.
I had a mission and I stuck to it and now it's paying off. That's how you succeed. The way that you fail is you walk away.
If you focus your life around succeeding then you will. If you focus your life around not succeeding, you will. The choice is easy — SUCCEED!
The key to getting what you want is defining what you want. You gotta know yourself to grow yourself.
Master the mind, which is everything and the world becomes a playground, which is the fun thing.
Spend your time playing a game you enjoy and you will never work a day in your life. If all your work is play you’ll never work another day.
How to get successful? People who are successful chose to never give up. Make the decision to never quit and success will become inevitable.
Reader comment of the day: “I think more people are opening up to the idea that they can become sharks. I work nights with one other guy whose always busy trying to build his band up and I work as a writer all day.
We never have time to hang out after work, but we never shoot each others ideas down. Usually we give each other a hard time if we haven’t made any progress on our projects from one night to the next.
If you can find friends that don’t laugh at your dreams but laugh at you when you don’t work on those dreams, keep them. They’re worth their weight in gold.”

New World Ronin is like a coloring book. What you buy is the black & white outline, it’s up to you at add full color.

Hey Nick, are there any women/gym related articles coming any time soon?
The article topics come at exactly the right time.
When will the Paperback be released for New World Ronin?
And so the Art Of Finding Success is really, Sucesss Finding You…when you’re busy.
Solid gold.
“So that’s the trick – find the game that you like to play and play it every day. Find what you would do even if you weren’t making money and turn that into the game that pays you money. That’s the trick.”
Says it all….
Love that reader comment at the end. I’m in the same boat. Stuck in the grind of the 9-5 because I have 2 small kids to feed and a wife to take care of. Yet in any spare moment striving towards perfecting my brand and gaining a following by helping others. Digging the trench to allow the ocean waters to flow into ghost town. And my girl is even on board contributing toward us moving forward.
Of course I don’t agree with 100% of everything you put out, but thank you for being a motivation for young men who are driven, young men who want more out of life.
Some of the best content available in the success/motivation/biz genre and for FREE. Always on point and written from experience and heart. No feel-good mumbo jumbo, just the steak and eggs. You will no doubt make your 10 million in the next year and I couldn’t be happier for you. Keep killing it!

The more successful I become and raise my standards on people, the better friends I get. People who are honest and not afraid of being political correct.
If you have “any” friends that resorts to white lies just to spare your feelings and do not like their feelings being “hurt”. NEXT them.
Your contact number could decrease but it’s better to have few quality friends who are just as successful as you are or even better.
They say…. Garbage in Garbage out.
I want to get this book but I don’t have a kindle. Will it be released on iBooks?
A PDF is available that you can use on iBooks.
You can read using the Kindle app on android, ios, desktop…even in your web browser. Definitely do not NEED a “Kindle”
Yes, iBooks version coming soon.
The PDF works fine on iBooks. Good read so far. Been thinking like a Roning for too long instead of DOING like a Ronin. I must keep moving.
Hey Nick,
How exactly did you find yourself, and how would you advise us on how to find ourselves? There are just so many possibilities in this world, it can be hard to know who we are.
This entire blog is a goldmine, and I am so thankful for everything I have learned from you. It is worth more to me than everything I have learned from school. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Al. For the answers, come back every day. A new piece of the puzzle is revealed every day.
Nick, Thank you for being my mentor for the past 3 years.
I’m now able to live life in full color and will be travelling the world/living overseas starting January 4, 2017.
In one of your previous articles you mentioned how goals don’t become real unless you say them and write them.
Its the damned truth. I never did jack shit until I wrote down what I wanted.
I’ve been following your blog for the past 3 years but only fully committed to your advice 6 months ago.
These 6 months have been the best of my life.
I used to be a dreamer, now I’m a doer.
Now I can go to the store and buy anything I want.
I can hop on a plane and decide to go somewhere warm like Oaxaca, Mexico during the cold months.
I can buy the new MacBook Pro just because I want to try the new touch bar.
I used to save every penny hoping that one day I would be rich. Now, I spend every penny knowing that money and opportunities are limitless.
When I fully committed to what I actually wanted vs what I pretended to want, blessings and opportunities started to blossom.
The universe will give a helping hand when you go after what you really want. It’s better than magic.
Thanks for giving me the courage to go full color, Nick. I can’t thank you enough.
Thank you Blayde.
Biggest girl fan of your blog here and i have two things to say:
1. Comparing NWR to other self-development books is comparing a skyscraper and a semi-basement.Or a race car and a wheel chair. The difference is so great, you can’t grasp it.
2. I am looking for a place to start my blog and did some search on badnet. My only concern is the connection to wordpress. There are many bad reviews about wordpress out there, for example that they can terminate your blog without notification. Is that true? because my blog isn’t going to be politically correct and i don’t want any proude admin shutting it down out of nowhere. Also i couldn’t find any reviews about badnet, neither good nor bad. Can you make a post explaining about badnet in more detail?
Thanks in advance, keep being awsome and i will be here daily
Hi there!
Just a quick answer to your question #2
-There’s something called wordpress.com and wordpress.org: In wordpress.com, you can create your own blog for free, there’s a lot of limitation and your domain name will look like this ‘www.yourdomain.wordpress.com’
There’s also a lot of restrictions on how to monetize your website. As for your concern if can someone terminate your website anytime then it’s true if you use wordpress.com.
while in wordpress.org
-In here, it is also a free blogging platform where you can create and organize your content and you have full control of the website. And also, your domain name won’t have the extra ‘wordpress’ extension in the url. The most important difference between the two is you need to pay for a hosting and buy your own domain name.
-This is where the Badnet comes in, basically they will help you set this up so you can immediately work on your website.
I hope this helps you somehow.
Thanks!
WordPress cannot delete your blog, Victor don’t play like homey, and homey don’t play like that. Yes, we’ll drop a badnet article soon answering your q’s.
I bought NWR on its release day and read it in one sitting. Then the next day I read it again.
Now, people talk about the quality of Nick’s work- with good reason- but for me the form is just as inspiring and powerful as the content.
Nick’s writing is up there with Mamet in terms of resonance and the ability to engage the reader.
Simple, effective language, purposeful repetition and pure emotional engagement. Everything one needs to move and inspire the reader.
Every writer should study Nick even if they (mistakenly) believe they have no interest in fitness or business.
‘Success doesn’t give a fuck about you if you are not working for it.’The truest words ever written.
After reading this article, I have deleted every bookmark that isn’t B&D.
Nothing but full colour from now on.
Thank you Tom.
They say its the path to succes, not Succes itself.
I quess so, if u have the path to succes and u come there, you wil be bored.
So keep busy working on the path!
Great content Victor.
Thank you Sven.
One of the more recent motivational posts. Great job!

Victor you really hit on that point!!
You don’t wait to succeed, you keep working and success finds you
